Sports and Playgrounds
Ranua has sports and playgrounds, including the village sports field, which is connected to a tennis court, a skate park, an ice rink and the Peura Sports Hall. Ranua also has Multilahti beach, a multi-golf course, Saukonpuisto and playgrounds in school yards.
Honkivaara
The Honkivaara outdoor recreation area offers sports activities in every season. During the thaw, you can play frisbee golf on the 18-hole course in Honkivaara, get your heart rate up on the fitness stairs and walk on the nature trail. In winter, you can go downhill in Honkivaara on a hill driven by a sledgehammer. From the top of Honkivaara, you can admire the magnificent scenery, even as far as the neighboring municipalities.
Honkivaara is located about 10 kilometers from the Ranua church village at Papinpalontie 51, 97700 Ranua. You can park your car in the free parking lot in the area.

Multilahti Beach
In addition to the beach, Multilahti also has a bonfire area and a wonderful renovated playground.
MultigolfPark
MultigolfPark offers frisbee golf, park golf and football golf. The fairways are much shorter and easier to navigate than traditional frisbee golf and golf fairways, so the courses serve people of all ages and also those with limited mobility.
MultigolfPark is located at Heinisuontie 5, 97700 Ranua. There is an agility course for dog enthusiasts next door.
Saukonmäki Playground
Right next to Hillatori and the Hillankukka kindergarten is the Saukonmäki playground. In winter, Saukonmäki serves as a downhill skiing area.
School Playgrounds
The Kerkkä school center is located in the parish of Ranua, which includes a primary school-library building and a middle school-high school building. The school center’s courtyard is built to suit children and is also well suited for leisure use. The area has a fenced artificial turf field, a paved running track, a smaller fenced playing field for basketball or football, numerous swings and play equipment, and some exercise equipment.
